Golden Needles Honored by Brooklyn Park Police
Brooklyn Park Police honored a group of volunteers called the ‘Golden Needles’ for the dozens of quilts they’ve given to police to use in crime prevention efforts.
In the early stages of the pandemic, police asked the Golden Needles to create masks for the community’s most vulnerable. They gave out more than 1600 masks during the pandemic.
In 2022, the Golden Needles created more than 50 quilts that were given away to residents at Huntington Place to residents who had intermittent heating issues.
