Fourth Baptist Students Pray in “See You at the Pole” Event
Fourth Baptist students participate in a nationwide event called “See You at the Pole.” The event is on the fourth Wednesday of September.
Students and faculty who wish to participate come to school early to gather. At Fourth Baptist, the seniors lead the event.
“We’re supposed to figure out the songs that we’ll sing, the Bible verses that will speak to everybody and just overall encourage everybody with this event,” said Lydia Morrell, senior class president at Fourth Baptist
Administrator Alan Hodak says there’s a lot of praying that happens in their school, but this prayer has a significant purpose.
“The opportunity for prayer here is mainly concentrated more on praying for our community, praying for our local government, praying for our police and fire, and praying for our national government,” said Hodak. “That’s really what this is about.”
Fourth Baptist School in Plymouth has participated for the last 10 years in See you at the Pole.
