Four Maple Grove Businesses Cited for Failed Alcohol Compliance Checks
Four Maple Grove restaurants recently failed their liquor compliance checks and served alcohol to undercover decoys.
Applebee’s, at 14400 Weaver Lk. Rd.; Rodizio Grill, at 12197 Elm Creek Blvd.; Rusty Taco at 6346 Vinewood Ln. N.; and Portillios at 12251 Elm Creek Blvd. all failed police compliance checks.
For Portillo’s, it was its second violation in the last three years.
The Maple Grove City Council will consider a punishment for the businesses on Monday, July 17.
The council can suspend or revoke liquor licenses for the businesses. It can also impose a fine.
City code calls for a two-day liquor license suspension and up to $2,000 in fines for first-time offenders.
For the second violation at Portillo’s, city code recommends a five-day liquor license suspension and up to a $2,000 fine.
The council has the discretion to select the days the liquor license suspension will be in effect.
