Former Robbinsdale Ace Hardware Owner Dies
Dale Runke, former owner of Ace Hardware in downtown Robbinsdale, passed away at the age of 72. Runke owned and operated Ace Hardware for more than 40 years and was known for creating a very family-friendly atmosphere in the store.
CCX News caught up with Runke and his employees in 2017.
“He was very, very public- centered and that’s one thing that separates us from bigger stores,” said Jeff Phillips, who worked for Runke in 2017.

According to his obituary, a private funeral service will take place Wednesday, May 5.
