Former Golden Valley Mayor Larry Bakken Eulogized at Council Meeting
The city of Golden Valley is remembering a former mayor and council member who left a lasting impact on his city.
Larry Bakken died March 19, according to his obituary. He was 80 years old.
“His work during his tenure on the city council along with his mentorship and support as a community leader will benefit Golden Valley for years to come,” stated Golden Valley Mayor Roslyn Harmon at the April 2 council meeting.
Bakken served on the Golden Valley City Council for 14 years, starting in 1984.
