Fitness Equipment Coming to New Hope’s Northwood Park
A New Hope park will soon offer an alternative for people who want to get in a workout without having to pay for an expensive gym membership.
Earlier this week, the New Hope City Council approved a plan to purchase outdoor fitness equipment for Northwood Park.
The city’s plan is to install seven pieces of equipment along the walking trail near the playground.
The equipment could accommodate up to 18 people at a time and cover all major muscle groups.
City staff members say it’s also weather resistant.
The overall cost is $40,318.40. Installation is expected to happen in late summer or early fall.
