Fire Badly Damages Maple Grove Home
A home in Maple Grove is no longer livable after a large fire over the weekend.
Fire crews were called out around 5:20 p.m. Saturday to the home on the 7800 block of Olive Lane North. According to Maple Grove Fire Chief Tim Bush, a passerby reported seeing smoke. Neither the homeowner nor neighbors were home at the time.
The fire was extensive and quickly spread to the attic. Agencies from multiple cities responded. Firefighters also returned to the home early Sunday morning when neighbors noticed an orange glow on the roof’s peak. The rekindling was deemed minor.
The cause remains under investigation.
