Find ‘Affordable Treasures’ at Family of God Church Garage Sale
A Brooklyn Park church says you might be surprised what you can find at its annual garage sale. Family of God Lutheran Church’s sale runs through Saturday morning.
“It’s 30 years since the Family of God has been doing this sale, and we look at it almost as a community service for people to recycle, repurpose and reuse instead of ending up in the landfill,” said Kathy Behrens, organizer of the sale.
The sale offers everything from furniture and housewares to toys, books and collectibles.
“We have something for everyone at this sale, absolutely everyone, pricewise and things they need,” said Behrens.
Proceeds from the sale benefit the church’s social ministry projects.
Family of God Lutheran is located at 8625 Zane Ave. N. The sale will held at the following times:
- Aug. 2 – 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
- Aug. 3- 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Aug. 4 – 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Aug. 5 – 9 a.m. to noon.
