February Death at Plymouth Red Roof Inn Declared a Homicide
Plymouth police are actively investigating a woman’s death inside a Plymouth hotel room. The investigation occurs as the Hennepin County Medical Examiner announced this week that the death was homicide.
Authorities responded to the woman’s death on Feb. 7 at the Red Roof Inn on the 2600 block of Annapolis Lane. She has been identified as Lisa Petersen, 41, of Buffalo.
According to the medical examiner, Petersen died of “multiple blunt force injuries.” At the time, the death was considered suspicious, but police needed the medical examiner to investigate further.
“We identified everyone in the hotel room that night,” said Capt. Michael Reed with the Plymouth Police Department. “We will be taking the appropriate next steps.”
As of this publishing, no arrests had been made.
