Facility for Traumatic Brain Injuries Proposed in Plymouth
A facility to help people who have suffered traumatic brain injuries is proposed for the city of Plymouth.
The request by Solbakken Minnesota would build an assisted living facility on a 1.26-acre site at 18035 Old Rockford Road. The facility would provide 24/7 staffing for adults requiring complex care.
The proposed one-story, nearly 20,000-square-foot building would have a total of 28 units. Of those, 24 would be single rooms with the remaining four units having double occupancy.
According to owner Darla Thao, Solbakken Assisted Living in Plymouth would have four full-time staff.
The Plymouth Planning Commission recommended approval at its July 16 meeting.
“I think it’s really fantastic that there’s something being proposed, especially for seniors that are going through complex care or have had traumatic brain injury,” said Neha Markanda, a member of the planning commission.
