Experience Maple Grove to Host Inaugural Turkey Trot 5K
Families looking for a fun activity to do Thanksgiving morning now have a new option in Maple Grove, as long as you’re okay with a little running.
The city’s marketing organization, Experience Maple Grove, is hosting an inaugural Turkey Trot 5K.
The event will take place Thanksgiving morning at Central Park. All participants will receive a t-shirt as well as a coupon to enjoy a free beverage at one of four Maple Grove restaurants: The Lookout, Omni Brewing, Malone’s and Kingdom Coffee.

“Thanksgiving weekend is a huge holiday shopping weekend, and we have, second only to the Mall of America, the largest landscape for shopping,” said Anne Anderson, the general manager of Experience Maple Grove. “So partnering with our different restaurants to get them in there, but then also hit our shopping, because that’s really the reason we did this race was to get people here and experience our city.”
The race will begin at 9 a.m. and the registration fee is $30.
