Edina Motorcyclist Killed in Brooklyn Center Crash
The Minnesota State Patrol has identified the man killed in a motorcycle crash Saturday night in Brooklyn Center.
The State Patrol says Austin Pavlak, 24, of Edina died after his motorcycle struck a bridge abutment shortly before 10:50 p.m. on Highway 252 near Interstate 694.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner said Pavlak died of multiple blunt force injuries. He was pronounced dead about four hours after the crash at North Memorial Health Hospital in Robbinsdale, the examiner said.
It’s unclear what caused Pavlak to leave the roadway as he was traveling on northbound 252. Pavlak was wearing a helmet, the State Patrol said.
According to the State Patrol, Pavlak was one of three motorcyclists who died in crashes on Minnesota roadways in about a 24-hour span.
