Plans are in the works for a new market-rate apartment complex in Maple Grove next to a future Hy-Vee grocery store.
Fargo, N.D.-based Enclave Companies proposes a five-story building with 161 units at a site south of Highway 610 and east of Maple Grove Parkway. This is across from the newly constructed Fernbrook Fields on 99th Avenue.

The apartments would be built in a wooded area. A tree replacement plan is required for the project. The project includes two courtyards, a fitness center and two large second-level outdoor amenity plazas. The first story will be a parking garage.
Enclave Companies is also working on new apartments planned in Shakopee, Savage and St. Louis Park.
The Maple Grove Planning Commission recommended approval with a 4-0 vote Monday. The Maple Grove City Council holds the final vote. As far as the Hy-Vee grocery store, there’s no time frame yet on when construction on that project will begin.
