Developer Hopes to Build New Coffee Shop on Robbinsdale Oil Site
Plans are in place to turn a shuttered gas station in Robbinsdale into a drive-through coffee shop.
Earlier this summer, Edina-based TOLD Development Co. presented plans to the city’s planning commission to convert the former Robbinsdale Oil Co. site near Bottineau Boulevard and 40th Avenue into a coffee shop.
The developer said that due to the size of the property, the shop would be walk-up and drive-through service only. However, there is a possibility of putting in outdoor seating, bike racks and a rain garden.
The new coffee shop in would replace the shuttered Robbinsdale Oil located at 4030 Lakeland Avenue N.
The Robbinsdale Planning Commission recommended approval of the plan on the condition that the developer reconfigure the area where cars line up to avoid congestion on Lakeland Avenue.
The name of the coffee shop was not included in the plans presented to the planning commission.
