Developer Eyes Brooklyn Center Plot for Business and Event Center
A city-owned plot in Brooklyn Center could be the future home of a business and event center.
McNeal Management, which is run by former Comcast executive Tommy McNeal, wants to build a 30,000-square-foot mixed-use facility with an event venue, commercial kitchen, cafe and business incubator just off Highway 100.
“I’m really excited about bringing something fresh and new and innovative to the city of Brooklyn Center,” McNeal told the city council in March.

The building, which would be located at 1950 57th Ave., would also offer six boutique hotel suites for travelers, a seasonal patio and a workforce training program.
The Brooklyn Center City Council approved a preliminary development agreement for the project on May 26.
Located at the intersection of Logan and 57th avenues, the city-owned site sits next to a storage facility.
