Custodians, Staff Busy at Osseo Area Schools
Osseo district schools might be closed to students, but there is activity underway throughout the district.
Superintendent Cory McIntyre shared photos of custodians at work and staff caring for children of healthcare workers. As part of the posts, he thanked custodians and staff members for their work during the school closure.
In response to direction from Governor Tim Walz and the Minnesota Department of Education, school is canceled from March 16-27. During this time, staff are working to finalize plans for distance learning that could begin as early as March 30.
District 279 is also providing childcare to children who are ages 4-12 and are currently enrolled in the district and whose parents or guardians are health care workers or first responders. If you need to register for childcare, you can call 763-585-7281 or click here.
Schools are also providing school lunches for children who need them. Please see this story for more on how that is happening and how you can get one.
