Crystal Welcomes Redi Carpet, Nation’s Largest Supplier of Multi-Family Flooring
The nation’s largest provider of flooring for apartments, condos and senior living facilities now has a new home in Crystal.
Tuesday marked the grand opening of Redi Carpet, which set up shop in a Crystal warehouse along Bottineau Boulevard.
“There’s not a lot of available warehouse and office space in this part of the Twin Cities. So it was a really, really good fit,” said Chris Ochtera, general manager of Redi Carpet. “We’re right on Bottineau, so it’s accessible. We have traffic out front. It’s easy to find us. Easy for installers to come in and get out as quickly as they possibly can.”
Crystal city officials joined employees from Redi Carpet for a ribbon cutting to mark the company’s grand opening. The Redi Carpet warehouse is located at 5512B Lakeland Avenue N in Crystal.
Redi Carpet is the largest provider of multi-family flooring in the United States, but this is the company’s first location in Minnesota.
Employees say they don’t anticipate any issues breaking into the Twin Cities market.
“We also have a lot of national agreements with large property management companies that have properties and buildings in the Twin Cities market,” Ochtera said. “So I think it’ll be an organic growth. We have, you know, big goals. And I think I personally think that this type of specialized flooring is under-served in this market. And we’re really hoping for the growth.”
With this Crystal location, Redi Carpet now has 38 branches around the country.
