Crystal Couple Raises Money for Barway Collins Statue at Becker Park
A Crystal couple has started a GoFundMe page to raise $15,000 for a statue at Becker Park of Barway Collins, the 10-year-old boy who was killed by his father in 2015. Collins lived near the park.
“I like to think Barway would have really enjoyed Becker Park, unfortunately he never got a chance to do so,” said Jeff Kolb. “The idea here is to create a joyous space. The statue will be Barway playing as a kid would be playing in the park and the idea is to create a happy memorial to celebrate a child’s life.”
Kolb says donations can also be made directly to the city of Crystal.
