Crystal Celebrates Dunkin’ Grand Opening
“America runs on Dunkin.” The Twin Cities northwest suburbs are increasingly running on it too.
The famous coffee and doughnut chain has expanded with a new store in Crystal.
The building, located at 6827 Bass Lake Road, used to be a Dairy Queen and received extensive remodeling. On Tuesday, the Dunkin’ franchisee, Legacy Concepts, celebrated the store’s grand opening.
“Crystal is a market we’re looking at for a long time,” said Chris Leu with Legacy Concepts. “We’ve been trying to find something. And this is a great piece of real estate that we got here with a lit intersection. Great visibility.”
If you think Dunkin’ has a made a considerable comeback, you’re not imagining things.
Dunkin’ left Minnesota in the late 1990s, when it was named Dunkin’ Donuts. It began a return to the Twin Cities in 2017. There’s now 30-plus stores.
Besides Crystal, Dunkin’ has locations in New Hope, Plymouth and two in Maple Grove.
