Crash Near Robbinsdale City Hall Traced to Apparent ICE Incident
A crash near Robbinsdale City Hall on Thursday has been traced to federal agents attempting to arrest someone in a vehicle, officials with the city of Robbinsdale said.
Robbinsdale police initially responded to a 911 call just after 10 a.m. Thursday of a vehicle that had crashed into a retaining wall just southeast of city hall, a release from the city said.
When officers arrived, they found the crashed vehicle, which was unoccupied.
“At that time, officers were advised that a woman was inside City Hall experiencing a very high level of anxiety,” the release stated.
Officers soon located the 36-year-old woman. Robbinsdale then learned that the woman was possibly the driver of the vehicle that crashed.
“During the investigation, officers were made aware that federal agents were attempting to stop the vehicle involved to arrest a different passenger in the car,” the release said. “The Robbinsdale Police Department had no knowledge of this prior to arriving on the scene of the reported crash.”

No further details about the passenger have been released.
