A Coon Rapids man is accused of firing dozens of gunshots in a residential neighborhood, then trying to dispose of the weapon in a gas station bathroom.

Brooklyn Park police responded on March 17 shortly before midnight to automatic gunshots fired in the 1600 block of 84th Court North. Police told CCX News that they recovered more than 40 shell casings.
The complaint says Powell was spotted in a nearby strip mall, north of 85th Avenue on Edinburgh Centre Drive. Police then located the suspect inside a Holiday gas station in that area. When the suspect saw police, he ran off.
