Charges Expected Against Unlicensed Driver in Fatal Highway 252 Crash
Charges are expected against a driver accused of driving drunk before crashing into a traffic light on Highway 252 in Brooklyn Park on Saturday, killing his passenger.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the crash happened just before 7:30 a.m. Saturday on northbound 252 near Humboldt Avenue.

The passenger, identified as Carlos Holliday, 36, of Minnneapolis, died in the crash, the patrol said.
The State Patrol said the driver, a 33-year-old Minneapolis man, was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving and driving with a revoked license. He was taken to North Memorial Health Hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
As of Monday afternoon, charges in the case were pending.
Court records show the suspect has three convictions of driving after having his license revoked or suspended. The suspect also has convictions for illegal weapons possession, careless driving and felony drug charges.
