CEAP Launches Fundraising Campaign for September’s Meals on Wheels Month
CEAP in Brooklyn Center coordinates the local Meals on Wheels program, which supplies meals to 450 seniors in the northwest suburbs.
During Meals on Wheels Month in September, the nonprofit hopes to raise $20,000 for the program and recruit more volunteers too.
“It’s such an important time for us mainly because winter is coming,” said Jack Elsnes, CEAP’s community outreach manager. “For our seniors, that’s more of a difficult time with the pandemic as we all know, food insecurity, the roads and the winter months.”
