CCP Presents ‘The Bridges of Madison County’ at Plymouth Playhouse
Cross Community Players (CCP) is putting on a production of “The Bridges of Madison County” at the Plymouth Playhouse.
Set in small-town Iowa, the story explores the roads we travel and the bridges we dare to cross.
“What I would hope people would take from this is love can come in many different forms,” said actor RJ Steck, who plays Robert Kincaid.
The production is a musical adaptation of the blockbuster book and Oscar-winning movie.
“There’s a lot of questions that will be brought up in everybody’s mind. ‘What would I have done?’ ‘Who’s side am I on?’ ‘What am I thinking?’ And I think it will bring up a lot of thoughts in other people’s own lives,” said actress Kendra Mueller, who plays Francesca.
“Francesca is like a bucket list role for a lot of women,” Mueller said about her role.
The performers also say the Plymouth Playhouse adds to the production.
“This space is so intimate, doing a play like this is quite intimate. It’s really cool to feel like the audience is experiencing with you,” said Mueller.
The show is not suitable for young children.
Performances run through Sunday, April 13.
Tickets are available at Crossplayers.org or at the door.
