Canadian Pacific Holiday Train Rolls Through Golden Valley
Golden Valley was rockin’ with holiday cheer Wednesday evening thanks to the Canadian Pacific holiday train.
The holiday train rolled into town providing excitement for children and families. But the visit also helps fight hunger. Attendees bring food donations that go to PRISM, which serves about 850 families in need every month. Canadian Pacific also presented a check to PRISM for $4,500.
“We know hunger doesn’t take a holiday. It happens 12 months out of the year,” said Michelle Ness, executive director of PRISM. “Their attention with the music and the lights, the funds, the donations. We’ve got a good 90,000 pounds of food that go out every single month, so this is a tremendous help.”
This is the fourth year the Canadian Pacific holiday train has rolled through Golden Valley.
