Can Do Canines to Hold March 8 Open House
A New Hope nonprofit dedicated to transforming people’s lives with the help of service animals is hoping to find a few good volunteers this weekend.
Can Do Canines is hosting an open house Saturday afternoon.
It’s an opportunity for people to learn more about the organization, but the primary goal is to encourage folks to host one of their service animals.
Can Do Canines takes care of food, medicine, and veterinary costs. And if you have to go out of town, they’ll board the animal while you’re gone.
All people have to do is take care of the dog while it’s going through the training process.
“Just anyone who can help out for a matter of days, weeks, months, up to a couple of years, that would really be great,” said Caren Hansen, the marketing and communications manager for Can Do Canines.
Saturday’s open house goes from noon until 2 p.m. The office is located at 9440 Science Center Drive in New Hope.
If you can’t make it to the open house, you can also contact Can Do Canines for more information at (763) 331-3000.
