Can Do Canines Celebrates National Puppy Day
Can Do Canines in New Hope provides assistance dogs to people with disabilities, all free of charge.
There’s a lengthy waiting list for these highly trained service dogs, and Can Do Canines is looking for volunteers to help with a variety of services, including helping with breeding.
“We would close our doors tomorrow if it wasn’t for our volunteers,” said Johnson. “We have over 200 dogs in the system at any given time from a brand new puppy to a 2-year old dog that’s ready to be placed with a client.”
Johnson says Can Do Canines focuses on breeding ‘purpose-bred’ dogs that have the best structure, temperament, and health history to help their clients.
There are several opportunities available to volunteer, and you can learn more on the Can Do Canines website.
