“Brushes on the Boardwalk” is Sunday
This weekend the city of Plymouth is hosting a brand new event in a brand new space.
Northwest Greenway Park is now completed. The new Plymouth park boasts a challenge course as well as the new Greenway Pavilion.
The pavilion will be the setting for a Sunday event called “Brushes on the Boardwalk.”
“We really wanted to highlight the new Northwest Greenway Pavilion. It will be a place where we can do events, but also rentals for the community,” said Alyssa Fram, recreation supervisor. “It really is a beautiful place.”
Fram says the city wanted to showcase the beauty of art and nature this fall. The traditional Plymouth Arts Fair won’t be held this fall because the Community Center is still under construction, so this is a chance for residents to enjoy local art. The Minnesota Outdoor Painters Association will be about 20 artists painting the landscape on the Boardwalk and answering questions about their work.
Plus, there’s live music and more.
“We’ll have free family art activities. We’ll have a food truck with food available for purchase as well as ice cream,” said Fram.
The event is from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 19 at the Northwest Greenway Pavilion on Peony Lane in Plymouth.
