Brooklyn Park’s New Miyabi Grill Serves Up Fast-and-Fresh Hibachi Cuisine
Brooklyn Park has a new restaurant that opened recently. Miyabi Grill is a fast-and-fresh hibachi concept. It’s located in a former Little Caesars location in the Starlite Center shopping area on Brooklyn Boulevard.
“We grew up around Brooklyn Park, so that’s the best part, working in our own city,” said Phi Tran, owner.
Owner Phi Tran chose the Brooklyn Park location because it’s so close to his home – so close that he skateboards to work. Tran says his hibachi concept doesn’t include all the knife-juggling fanfare of a sit-down Japanese restaurant.
Tran studied cooking in traditional hibachi style in North Carolina and “fell in love with it.” He partnered up with his childhood friend, Bradley Somlath, his head chef, to offer hibachi-style fresh plates in under 10 minutes, specifically to-go orders.
“It’s the best fast food in town. Under 10 minutes, hot and fresh, doesn’t get any better than this,” said Somlath.
The steak/ shrimp combo plate has been a big hit, and customers can’t get enough of their take on “yum-yum sauce.”
