Brooklyn Park Police: Uber Eats Driver Robbed at Knife-Point
Brooklyn Park police are investigating a robbery in which an Uber Eats driver was held up at knife-point, police said.
According to Brooklyn Park police, the robbery happened Saturday shortly before 8:15 p.m. at the 610 West apartments, located north of Highway 610 in the 6700 block of Oak Grove Parkway.
Police said officers learned that a possible suspect fled into one of the apartment buildings. Investigators soon identified the suspect and a unit where he possibly lived, police said.
In an attempt to find the suspect, officers made several attempts to contact the people inside one of the units, but were unsuccessful. Members of the Brooklyn Park Police Tactical Response Unit were then called in.
Police said crisis negotiators convinced the people inside to exit the apartment leading to an arrest of a juvenile male.
The juvenile male was arrested and booked for charges related to the robbery, police said.
After the story was published, police told CCX News that the suspect had taken an undisclosed amount of money from the victim. The investigation into the matter continues, police said.
