Brooklyn Park Police Investigate Shooting, Vehicle Struck By Gunfire
Brooklyn Park police are investigating a shooting from early this morning in which at least one vehicle was struck by possible gunfire.
According to Brooklyn Park police, officers responded around 3:45 a.m. Thursday to the area of 101st and Butternut avenues north on a reported shooting.
When officers arrived, they located two vehicles occupied by several teenagers. Police said one of the vehicles had evidence that it was likely struck by gunfire. Officers learned that the possible shooting occurred near the area of Zane Avenue North and Oak Grove Parkway.
Police said the teens reported hearing “some popping noises” when their window broke. They were unable to provide any suspect information, police said.
No one was injured in the incident.
It’s unclear what led to the shooting. Brooklyn Park police said an investigation is ongoing.
