Brooklyn Park Police Arrest Two Suspects in Crashed-Vehicle Incident
Brooklyn Park police arrested two suspects Sunday after police said they tried to flee officers until the vehicle they were in got stuck in a snowbank.
Police initially got a call that a single vehicle had crashed in the 9200 block of Dunbar Knoll Court North just before 10:40 a.m. Sunday. Officers had learned the driver had ran into the neighborhood trying to flee the crash scene, police said.
According to a Brooklyn Park police crime alert, a combination of drones, K9s and 911 calls helped police locate a man that matched the description of the fleeing suspect. Police said the suspect jumped into another car that tried to escape arrest before that vehicle got stuck in the snow. Officers then arrested two men, police said.
Police told CCX News that neither vehicle involved in the incident was stolen. Police also said one of the men arrested was taken to the Hennepin County Jail to await potential charges. The other suspect was released after posting bail, police said.
