Brooklyn Park Man Fatally Shot at Huntington Place Apartments
Brooklyn Park police say a man has died and woman is in police custody after a shooting at an apartment complex Friday night.
Police say the incident happened shortly after 11 p.m. Friday at the Huntington Place Apartments, located in the 5800 block of 73rd Avenue North.
According to Brooklyn Park police, arriving officers located a man with a gunshot wound to the chest. Attempts by officers to render aid to the man were unsuccessful, police said.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner identified the man as Eric Herring, 32, of Brooklyn Park.
Police arrested a female suspect who police say were in a relationship together. Jail records show the 28-year-old suspect from Minneapolis was taken into custody facing a murder charge.
