Brooklyn Park Homeowner Awoken to Robbery, Assault
Brooklyn Park police say they are looking for three men who broke into a home and assaulted a man. One of the men had a gun, police said.
Police say the incident happened at about 3:15 a.m. Sunday in the 7600 block of College Park Drive, not far from North Hennepin Community College.
According to Brooklyn Park police, a man was sleeping on his couch when three men kicked down his front door. Police say the robbers confronted the homeowner and pointed a pistol at him. The men then took the homeowner outside and assaulted him, taking the victim’s wallet and cell phone, police said.
Officials say there’s no known connection between the robbers and the victim.
The homeowner has some injuries but is expected to be okay.
