Brooklyn Center Walmart Sold for $8.1 Million
CCX News has learned further details about the Brooklyn Center Walmart sale.
St. Paul-based Sun Empire LLC, the company that owns Sun Foods, an ethnic supermarket, purchased the site for $8.1 million. According to the Minnesota Department of Revenue, the sale was finalized Dec 28. Reporter Kevin Miller was the first to report on the sale.
The Brooklyn Center Walmart closed last April. It’s expected that the location will become a grocery store.
Sun Foods also operates a store nearby on Brooklyn Boulevard. That store is expected to remain.
