Brooklyn Center Purchases Closed Target Property
The city of Brooklyn Center has purchased the closed Target Store and will try to redevelop it.
The Target store closed in February and has been vacant ever since.
Last week, Brooklyn Center paid $3.6 million for the property. It will become part of the city’s 100-acre opportunity site that the city is trying to redevelop. A Minneapolis-based developer has an agreement with the city to redevelop land south of the Target store with housing, entertainment and retail.
