Brooklyn Center Council Clarifies Snowmobiles, ATV Ordinance
The Brooklyn Center City Council will hold a public hearing this week on amendments to the current ordinance governing snowmobiles and all-terrain vehicles. The ordinance update would not restrict snowmobiles, but it would add some requirements and limit the hours of operation.
City officials says they’ve had some complaints over the years regarding these type of vehicles. However, city staff say when they do get complaints the current ordinance makes it tough to do anything about them.

There will be a public hearing Jan. 11. The city council still has to vote on the amendments before changes are made.
