Brooklyn Center Community Servant, Dr. Duane Orn Passes Away
Dr. Duane Orn passed away last week. Orn was a community servant with a heart for Brooklyn Center.
More than 50 years ago he helped redevelop Earle Browne Farm and turn it into an event center.
Orn turned his retirement party into an opportunity to raise money for an amphitheater in Centennial Park.
He was a member of several community organizations. Orn also helped found Northwest Community Television and served on the board of directors for the organization for 40 years.
Orn passed away on March 22 from complications of Parkinson’s Disease.
He was 89 years old.
