Bird Scooters Coming to Brooklyn Park
Brooklyn Park approved a micromobility ordinance this past May and Bird scooters plan to begin operating in the city this summer. Bird scooters are also operating in Golden Valley, St. Louis Park and Minneapolis.
Bird is the only company that has approached Brooklyn Park about operating in the city this summer.
Council member Tonja West-Hafner was the lone vote against allowing the scooters in the city, saying she doesn’t think they are safe after seeing the scooters in downtown Minneapolis.
