Beehive Fireplace Restoration Complete at Graeser Park
Volunteers and community members are rejoicing that a long-awaited restoration project is now fairly complete at Graeser Park. This year’s restoration work began a few weeks ago. Volunteers and then MnDOT have been at work restoring the park over the years.
The park’s signature feature included a beehive fireplace – the only one of its kind still standing where it was originally built.
The iconic beehive is now fully restored.
Workers in the Depression-era Works Progress Administration built the roadside rest stop near the Lilac Way.
