Be a Santa to a Senior in Need this Holiday Season
Home Instead Senior Care encourages you to “Be a Santa to a Senior” this holiday season. From now until Dec. 13, people can find a tree at Lunds & Byerlys stores with holiday wish lists from seniors who might be considered isolated or low-income.
When you go to Lunds & Byerlys, grab an ornament off the Christmas tree and purchase the items. Most gift requests are modest, like stamps, socks, sweatshirts, or crossword puzzles. Return the gift in a gift bag to the store and Home Instead Senior Care will deliver it.
They have organized the program since 2003.
“We’ve been doing this program for so many years and I see what it does for the seniors,” said John Stuck with Home Instead Senior Care. “The smile on their face is like that of a child. They are just as happy to receive something and be remembered during the holidays.”
