Baseball Training Facility Proposed for Plymouth’s Jet 55 Corporate Center
A baseball training facility, currently located in Eden Prairie, is seeking to relocate and open a new training venue in Plymouth.
Brower Baseball is seeking to move to the Jet 55 Corporate Center, located at 12755 Highway 55, according to Plymouth Planning Commission documents.
The business would fill approximately 32,000 square feet of vacant space.
The Plymouth Planning Commission is scheduled to review the plans tonight.
Brower Baseball offers individual and group training for youth on up through college age.
The business was started by former Major League Baseball pitcher Jim Brower.
“Our business will draw customers from Plymouth, Hamel, Maple Grove, Minnetonka, Wayzata, Eden Prairie, Chanhassen and other surrounding communities,” read an application submitted to Plymouth’s Community and Economic Development Department.
Brower played for eight Major League Baseball teams spread across nine seasons. He later became a pitching coach with Major League teams, including the 2015 Kansas City Royals and 2016 Chicago Cubs, which both won the World Series.
