Artist Dan Tran Featured at Robbin Gallery
A new art exhibit in Robbinsdale is designed to make you think. “Lost & Found in the Time of INfection” by artist Dan Tran is an exhibit that comes with a political edge.
“I don’t claim to have answers, but I want to bring it to our attention those issues of the day,” said Tran.
Tran emigrated from Vietnam in the 1970s, became a bioengineer, then evolved into a self-taught artist. His work includes art pieces focused on a range of topics — from our divided political climate, to climate change and gun violence, even cryptocurrency scandals.
“I feel I have spent more years in the United States than in Vietnam, and I feel a responsibility as an artist to talk about where I live,” said Tran.
The exhibit runs through Sunday, Feb. 26.
You can meet the artist the next three Saturdays (Feb. 4, 11 & 18).
