Artist Adam Turman Celebrates 40 Birthdays Through Painting
A Twin Cities artist was in Plymouth this week celebrating dozens of birthdays through an original piece of artwork.
“It’s a 40-inch by 30-inch painting that I’m doing that’s representative a little bit of Trillium Woods, but it’s also of the surrounding environment around Trillium,” said Adam Turman on Wednesday.
Turman, who’s artwork has been featured by businesses including Indian Motorcycles, Founders Brewing, Beam Suntory, SPAM/Hormel, Minnesota State Fair and the Children’s Hospitals of Minnesota, is known for his bold style.

Twin Cities artist Adam Turman was in Plymouth this week celebrating dozens of birthdays through an original piece of artwork.
At Trillium Woods Senior Living, Turman showed off during a live painting demonstration.
It was part of an effort to celebrate the birthdays of 40 Trillium residents this month. They range from age 72 to 96, and many are artists themselves.
“I’ve had a lot of questions about my process, how I do the work, what mediums I’m using,” Turman said. “Because I think a lot of the residents here wondering how they could be applying some of that knowledge to some of their work, because I think the people that are talking to me tend to be doing art themselves.”
Once Turman finishes the painting, Trillium, which is celebrating its 10-year anniversary this year, will hang it on the wall as a permanent celebration.
