‘Art of Possibilities’ Exhibit Opens in Golden Valley
An art show featuring artists from all around the world opens up in Golden Valley this weekend. It’s the “Art of Possibilities” exhibit held at Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute.
The exhibit is special for a few reasons. One, the work is juried. Two, the art pieces are for sale and all of the money goes back to the artist. And three, every piece is created by artists with disabilities.
Gallery organizer Casey Millhone said the show is powerful.
“There’s so many different artists with different relationships to art. In either how it’s allowed them to process through some things that they go through, or as a new creative outlet for the way that their body functions,” Millhone said.
Artists come from all over the world, but many are from the Twin Cities area.
The gallery is curated with an inspiring array of art in the facility’s first floor hallways. Anyone can stop by and view the 480 different art pieces whenever the building is open. It will be on display until July 5.
People can also view and purchase pieces on the Courage Art website.
