April Fools’ Day Comes with Unicorn Poop at Maple Grove Bakery
An annual April Fools’ Day tradition continued this year at Nadia Cakes in Maple Grove.
Every year, the bakery comes out with a special line of cupcakes meant to amuse, fool the untrained eye and fulfill the cravings of anyone with a sweet tooth.
The unique flavors debuted on Thursday. Some of the special designs include chewed bubble gum, orange chicken, white chocolate dentures and the ever-popular unicorn poop.
“Yeah this is the event of the year for us. We look forward to it every single year,” said Lauren Vandeberg, general manager of Nadia Cakes. “All of our employees will come up with ideas throughout the whole year and say, ‘I’m doing this for April Fools’ Day’. So they get super excited about it. It’s just a really fun event for us.”
April Fools’ Day was the last day for these special cupcakes.
Meanwhile, anyone who bought the white chocolate dentures also got a free toothbrush with their purchase.
The special selection of Nadia Cakes’ April Fools’ Day cupcakes are only available for a limited time.
