Anoka-Hennepin Superintendent Leaving for Minnetonka Schools
The superintendent of Anoka-Hennepin Schools has been selected to lead the Minnetonka Public School District starting July 1.
David Law was the superintendent of Anoka-Hennepin Schools for eight years and had close ties to the district. He graduated from Coon Rapids High School and served as a teacher and middle school assistant principal in the district.
Law was named Minnesota’s Superintendent of the Year in 2020 and served in leadership roles in statewide organizations.
In a letter to the school board, Law thanked the board for “taking a chance on a new leader and supporting me throughout my time here.” He also said he was proud of the district.
“Through it all, we have shared a commitment to continuously improve, identifying the areas of need and balancing this with the capacity of our system to make change,” wrote Law in the letter. “I can confidently say, things are moving in the right direction.”
The Anoka Hennepin School Board has not announced an interim superintendent or a timeline for recruiting a replacement.
