Anoka-Hennepin District Activates Pandemic Response Team
The Anoka-Hennepin School District activated a 25-member pandemic response team that is in charge of coordinating operations and prevention systems. The schools are also using disinfectants in common areas and urging students to wash hands.
The district sent out an email to parents on Wednesday discussing their response to coronavirus.
The pandemic response team will be led by district’s health coordinator, Cyndy Hiltz.
Tests by scientists have found the new coronavirus can live on some surfaces like plastic and stainless steel for as long as two to three days. Schools are also preparing food service operations to limit student touch of utensils and food products with bare hands.
Additionally, the district is reviewing student trips to international and domestic locations and following these guidelines: https://wwwnc.cdc.gov/travel/notices
