Affordable Dresses Draw Brides to Osseo Shop
Few days are more important than a woman’s wedding day.
Just ask Annette Hall, founder and CEO of Bridal Aisle in Osseo.
“When someone gets married, this is like the biggest moment of your life,” said Hall.
Bridal Aisle is a small shop in Osseo that attracts brides from the five-state area in search of the perfect dress.
It’s Hall’s mission to make sure anyone who comes in has a great experience.
“I feel very honored when people come into my shop to actually shop for their dress for their special day,” Hall said. “And my staff, also, all of my team feels the same way. This is why they come to work every single day.”
Bridal Aisle has more than 2,000 wedding gowns, most of which came from bridal shops throughout the United States that, for whatever reason, didn’t sell.
Hall brings them to Osseo and sells them at a discount.
“One of the advantages for the bride is to save money on the front end to be able to put that toward [the] venue, honeymoon, something else,” Hall said.
Affordable Dresses at Bridal Aisle
Most of the dresses cost between $600 to $2,500.
But if that’s out of your price range, they also have an outlet area, where all of the dresses cost less than $500.
“We’ve always set up our model for our store to be more budget conscious,” Hall said. “So it’s ‘your day, done in your way, at a price you can pay.’”
It’s a motto that’s served them well for the last 10 years, and while Bridal Aisle took a hit during the pandemic — with many couples canceling or postponing their weddings — they’re close to getting back to pre-pandemic levels.
Meanwhile, Hall’s one piece of advice for brides going dress shopping is to keep an open mind.
“I would say 85 percent of our brides walk out of here with a dress other than they thought they would,” Hall said. “And it’s just amazing, mind blowing.”
Bridal Aisle is an appointment-only business, but they do accept walk-ins. One thing they ask is for customers to do some research beforehand so they have an idea of what style of dress interests them.
Meanwhile, Hall said that Bridal Aisle just won the Minnesota Retailers Association award for family business of the year.
“It’s just a huge honor for us,” Hall said about winning the award.
