Actor Steve Zahn to Receive Lifetime Achievement Award
Actor Steve Zahn will receive the lifetime achievement award Thursday night at the Metropolitan Ballroom in Golden Valley from the Twin Cities Film Fest.
Zahn visited the CCX News studio Wednesday afternoon to talk about his career and his time in Minnesota.
His career in film and television dates back to the early 1990s, but he got his start in theater. First at Plymouth Junior High, and then at Cooper High School, where he’s a member of their hall of fame.
Zahn credits the teachers at those schools with helping him get to where he is today.
“Without that exposure to quality, quality art at that age, I definitely wouldn’t be sitting here right now,” Zahn said. “I’d be digging a hole, but digging it well.”
Later this week, we’ll hear more from Zahn and see what advice he has for any local actors hoping to follow in his footsteps.
